About this event
OC MET GALA is a collaboration between Dr. Kasein Gonzalez, OC Family Medicine Specialist, and Sheila Simone, CEO+ Designer for Sheila Simone California who are both committed to raising funds to support The Teen Project. The mission of the Teen Project is to provide healing and hope to young women who have survived human trafficking and homelessness, many from foster care, by innovating programs focused on drug treatment, psychotherapy, life skills, higher education and mentoring all with a trauma-informed lens.
Vera’s Sanctuary the only licensed residential drug treatment site in Orange County dedicated to victims of human trafficking.
Not only will you be supporting this great cause, but it will be night to remember. This is going to be a high-energy gala with a fashion show, dancing, and unique epxeriences not seen before.

Resort wear brand was recently presented with the OC fashion designer of the year award. Sheila has dedicated her runway fashion shows and gala events to supporting and donating proceeds to charities such as Waymakers OC, Vera’s Sanctuary, and Beloved Foundation to name a few. She is also a supporter of Dementia research, in dedication to her mom, June Simone, who was her inspiration and teacher and recently passed due to dementia. She owned and operated Beauty salons and medical spas on the east coast for 30 years. After selling and moving to Newport Beach 10 years ago she has now dedicated her time and passion continuing to do what she loves for a purpose.
She is a mentor and inspiration to her team of OC models and photographers as she works alongside of them as they develop their careers in fashion and beauty business. Sheila has a list of celebrity clients, and you can find her designs in high end boutiques as well as her studio in Newport Beach. Her fashion shows are entertaining and are gaining popularity throughout the fashion world. Her next stop is the runway at Paris Fashion Week.
Sheila’s mission with this event, OC Met Gala 2022, is to raise money for girls that have been rescued and have the opportunity to be rehabilitated at Vera’s Sanctuary in Santo Rancho Margarita, The Teen Project. Sheila will also help mentor these young women if they are interested in a fashion or beauty career.

Dr. Kasein Gonzalez, OC Family Medicine Specialist
Dr. Kasein Gonzalez, is a talented Board Certified Family Physician, with over 20 years of experience. He received his medical degree from Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas de la Habana, and completed his residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center; Specializing in Family Medicine. Dr. Gonzalez has excellent bedside manners and a focus on healthy and balanced lifestyles. He enjoys educating his patience to make wise health conscientious choices.
