Presentation by the Consulate General regarding obtaining dual Greek/United States Citizenship
• Applicable legal classifications, definitions and statutes
• Specific criteria for obtaining Greek Citizenship, including applicable documents
• Rights and responsibilities upon obtaining Greek Citizenship
Part II of the Program: Why Obtain a Greek Citizenship
Christos Kiosses, an attorney licensed in both Greece and the United States, will discuss the benefits of having a Greek citizenship and the responsibilities and potential pitfalls that may come with having dual citizenship, including:
• Conscription
• Tax and regulatory compliance
• Permission to travel without visas throughout Europe
