Event Details

World-wide live stream event

Miranda's one year anniversary at the top of a tree.

Now is your chance to show your support for environmentalist Miranda Gibson who hasn't set foot on the ground in almost a year! She vowed to remain at the top of a tree in Tasmania's threatened forests until the forest is protected. You are invited to join us online to celebrate:

  • Watch Miranda talk to the world from her tree top home - live via video link up.
  • Send in your comments and questions for Miranda.
  • Hear from guest speakers around the world
  • Have your say on why the world needs forest protection

It's easy! Here's how:

Plan to get together with a group of friends. It's Observer Tree's birthday party, so why not make a party of it? You might even like to make your gathering open to the pubic - if so, make sure you choose "host your own event" ticket when registering and let us know the details and we can let others know.

Southern Hemisphere:  Dec 14th - 6:30pm (Australian Daylight Savings Time).

Northern Hemisphere: Dec 13th -6pm CTZ American Time.

Guest Speakers:

  • world tree sit record holder Julia Butterfly Hill
  • globally renowned author Derrick Jenson
  • Former Australian Greens leader Bob Brown
  • Senator Christine Milne.
