OBJECT POVERTY PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION LAUNCH
On Wednesday 7th of December, The School of Nursing & Human Sciences, Dublin City University and the SAOL Project Dublin will launch ‘Object Poverty’, a socially engaged art project and exhibition created by the SAOL Project in solidarity with and support of the 2016 UN International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
The Object Poverty project involved asking over 200 hundred people from a range of societal/occupational contexts this simple question:
"In your opinion what object(s) represent(s) poverty?"
The photographic exhibition translates and presents responses to this fundamental question and incorporates contributions from students and staff involved in nursing, health and social care education programmes in the School of Nursing & Human Sciences, Dublin City University.
Guest speakers at this event will include Maureen O Sullivan TD and Catriona Crowe, historian, documentary maker and chairperson of SAOL project.
Attendance at this event is free and a light lunch will be provided. Please register here for catering purposes.
