Event description

Description

Obesity is a complex disease with increasing prevalence and associated morbidity and mortality. A close relationship between research, academic training and clinical care is crucial in shaping the future of obesity prevention and treatment.

On the 22nd of May 2019, Champalimaud Foundation is holding an event to raise awareness of obesity. This workshop will cover the complexity of obesity from basic to translational research and will be focused on the intersection between neuroscience and physiology. In addition, key representatives of the research and healthcare sectors will discuss in a broad, inclusive manner, how to improve academic curriculums and clinical practice. Our goal is to raise public awareness of the fact that obesity is a disease and should be tackled as such.

If you want to increase your knowledge about obesity do not miss this opportunity and apply - but hurry, as spaces are limited.
