Experience Dia De Los Muertos in Oaxaca, Mexico, with accomplished Mexican street photographer David Coleman. David was born and raised in Mexico and is an expert with the Mexican people, customs, language, and world renouned Oaxacan culinary cuisine.
One of the world’s most colorful festivals, Dia De Los Muertos, or the Day Of The Dead, is both a celebration of ancestors and a cultural festivity. In this intensive workshop, David will teach you how to capture the street dances, painted faces, and picturesque street scenes. In the afternoons, he will also provide classroom instruction focused on editing your images in Adobe Lightroom and a peer review session of participant images.
David, born and raised in Mexico, is an expert guide who provides a safe and fulfilling photography workshop experience, planning the best sites and times of day for shooting, local fare, and comfortable accommodations in advance. The trip also includes one introductory class and two editing and peer review sessions at the hotel.
Workshop date: October 30, 2017 to November 3, 2017
Pricing: $1,950 / $400 deposit
All of the following are included with the workshop fee:
- Photographic instruction
- Local transportation within Oaxaca, Mexico
- 4-Night hotel accommodations (private room)
- Lunches and 1 farewell dinner included
- Daily classroom with editing and peer review session
- Daily 1:1 coaching in the field
Items Not Included:
- Air Fares, Airport Transfers, and Airport Taxes
- Beverages and Alcoholic drinks
- Personal expenses, meals not included in the itinerary, tips and gratuities to tour guides
- Any other incidentals not listed under "Items Included"
Activity level: Medium. Activities may include long walks and on uneven streets.
Requirements: Working knowledge of digital workflow and manual mode on your digital SLR camera. A Camera and a laptop with Lightroom installed. Please contact us prior to registering to discuss if this workshop is right for you.
Deposit Fee: $400. 50% will be refunded if canceled before August 1st, 2017 8am. After August 1st, 2017 8am 100% of the Deposit Fee will be retained.
Workshop balance: The balance of $1,550 is due and payable by September 1st, 2017 8am. If canceled after September 1st, 2017 8am full cost will be retained. Please contact us with payment options.
Workshop is limited to 6 participants. We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if minimum student enrollment is not met. In the event we cancel a workshop, participants will be given the option to reschedule to a later date or receive a full refund. We are not, however, liable for expenses incurred such as airfare or hotel accommodations. We highly recommend the purchase of trip insurance. Tips to local guides and driver are not included in the workshop.
