This is the first wine festival in Oakland that invites internationally recognized and highly acclaimed winemakers from the above and other regions to spend a day and night in Oakland’s beautiful treasure, Mills College.
The Oakland Wine Festival founder believes It is time to showcase our Chef’s of Oakland in a real and deliberate way. This once in a lifetime gathering of outstanding chefs who cook delicious dishes in Oakland restaurants will be the first assembly of this sort. Our gathered chefs will work collaboratively and independently to pair their food with the exquisite wines brought to the Oakland Wine Festival's debut.
A significant portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to thoughtfully selected charities who contribute to the lives of Oakland and Bay Area residents.

When & Where
Who Is Melody Fuller?
New: Written By Sharon Pieniak Doors Open Wide: Meet Melody Fuller and the Oakland Wine Festival
I am the Founder of the Oakland Wine Festival and the Oakland Wine and Food Society.
I am an independent professional wine, food, and travel writer, editor, publisher and educator. I filmed my first TV show at Pebble Beach Food and Wine
For many years, I traveled locally and around the world learning about wine, food, meeting vintners, chefs and building relationships one bite or sip at a time.
I enjoy teaching and learning about wine through a few wine clubs that I formed, or am a member of.
I am a twice invited attendee of The Symposium for Professional Wine Writers at Meadowood Napa Valley. This is a tremendous honor and high recognition of the work that I do. On the eve of the 2014 Symposium, I was having dinner with a dear friend in St. Helena. My professor, aka, Mr. Robert M. Parker Jr., who was just one table away, was dining with friends as well. He and I had a delightful conversation about the days to come. I capped our evening by correctly opening and pouring my friend’s wine for him and by accurately blind guessing the four wines he and his companions were enjoying.
I look forward to your support of the 3rd Annual Oakland Wine Festival which will be held on July 15, 2017!
