Oakland Filmmaking Session 2 July 2020
Event Information
About this Event
*We have an awesome hybrid online & in-person model in place to ensure our filmmakers can create films for our 8th summer! The safety of our filmmakers is our first priority & we're confident in moving forward virtually should shelter-in-place extend beyond May. Both sessions are limited to 15 members and June is almost full. Snag your spot today!*
Reel Stories' summer filmmaking programs are for 12-18 year old girls and gender non-conforming youth (rising 7th-12th graders). Both beginner and advanced filmmakers are invited to attend.
During this two week program, participants will work together in small, collaborative groups to write, shoot, edit and broadcast their own short films. Groups are determined by age & skill level. Returning filmmakers will participate in advanced film and media workshops. Reel Stories is the only female owned & run filmmaking media program in the country led by professionals in the industry. We believe that the power of individual stories brought to life on-screen has the power to diversify and strengthen the filmmaking industry - remember, The Present is Female. Join us this summer to show the world your stories, your audience is waiting!
