Oak Ridge High School Manufacturing Engineering Technology Program Industry...

Join SME Sacramento Valley for an open house at Oak Ridge High School's Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET) program facilities. The purpose of the evening will be to give an opportunity for industry to learn more about how the MET program at Oak Ridge is aligning itself to provide a pipeline of well educated and skilled force to address the current skills gap facing the advanced manufacturing community in the greater Sacramento region. The other main purpose for the event is so that students, parents and educators can learn more about the amazing manufacturing base that is often times hidden away and all of the amazing career opportunities these companies can provide to students.
5-6pm will be the industry advisory board meeting required to secure federal Carl T. Perkins funding for the program for the 2017-2018 school year.
6-8pm will be the opportunity for students to present their work and for visitors to tour the facility and see the immense potential for this program.
Park in the upper lot and head to building F room 3 shown as "Wood" on the map.
