About this Event
AquaBots is a fun, hands-on educational programme integrating Science, Technology, Design, and Engineering.
What’s an AquaBot?
An AquaBot is a remotely operated underwater vehicle. It can have varying levels of sophistication which generates a broad appeal to children and youth. Students design and build an NZAquaBot from the supplied kit and develop skills in its operation. The programme culminates in an regional or national event. Who takes part?
For the 2020 season MOI has had NZAB competitions in Nelson, Rotorua, Auckland and Masterton. The top competitors in the regional events are invited to Nationals. This year the National Final is in Masterton. Winners of this competition are invited to participate in the International Competition in the USA, most likely virtually in 2021.
