Event description
Led by world experts on entrepreneurial wellbeing, this workshop teaches how to gracefully navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.

About this Event

The Angel Association of New Zealand (AANZ), New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE), Callaghan Innovation, and the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) have teamed up to provide this complimentary NZ Entrepreneur Wellbeing Workshop.

Join global expert on entrepreneurial wellbeing Justin Milano (CEO of Good Culture), Will Joseph (Director of Good Startups), and special guest Jenene Crossen to explore the side of entrepreneurship that isn't talked about during customer and investor pitch meetings.

Here's the truth...

Entrepreneurship can be REALLY hard. When you first start your company you have a big idea for how to make people's lives easier. You dream of a day where your impact is occurring on a global stage, and you set off on a life journey to actualize your greatest potential.

At first you are excited as your idea begins to take form, but then you reach an inevitable point where you are no longer running your company, your company is running you. For some reason everything is not going to plan, the stress builds, your time diminishes, team dysfunction sets in, and all the expectations you set with yourself, friends, family, community, and investors build like a pressure cooker.

At this point many entrepreneurs begin living a reality where during the day they are "crushing it" or "killing it" to keep their team members and investors motivated, but behind the scenes you know the product is not working as intended, runway is limited, and there is a greater chance your company fails than succeeds.

If any of this rings true, we have some news for you. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Even the greatest entrepreneurs of our time are experiencing challenges behind the scenes. As Elon Musk said in one of his tweets about entrepreneurship:

"The reality is great highs, terrible lows, and unrelenting stress. Don't think people want to hear about the last two."

The time has come to start writing a new narrative around entrepreneurship, and it starts with each of us developing skills to achieve SELF MASTERY in the midst of the CHAOS.

This workshop is your opportunity to begin that journey. The workshop is being led by Justin Milano, who is a serial entrepreneur, executive coach, and CEO of Good Culture. For the past 4 years the Good Culture team of wellbeing experts have been conducting the largest study ever done on entrepreneurial wellbeing (released in 2020) and developing curriculum to help entrepreneurs develop the skills and qualities to become psychological judo masters.

If you are interested in leading your entrepreneurial venture with greater balance, awareness, and performance, then we highly suggest you join us for a day of introspection, realness, and mental breakthroughs.

Here are some of the transformations we will ignite during this 1-day intro workshop:

1) From Self Critic to Self Compassion - The greatest challenge highlighted in our global study is entrepreneurs beating themselves up for the perceived mistakes and failures. We will dig deep and radically shift mindsets around failure and success.

2) From Fear to Creativity - We will get to the sources of our stress and begin to see that fear is one of the greatest catalysts for creativity and innovation. Mastering this area is a game changer.

3) From Time Scarcity to Time Abundance - Here we will identify the sources of time drainers and begin to unlock mindsets that change our belief systems around time. The result is time freedom and abundance you previously deemed impossible.

In addition to these specific transformations, we will begin learning about the power of mindfulness and self curiosity to unlock our greatest potential for impact.

We hope you and your team members join us for this special event, and thanks again to our sponsors for recognizing the importance of entrepreneurial wellbeing on the health of New Zealand's economy, people, and environment.

Warmly,

The Good Culture Team
