Event description

Description

Throughout history and in today’s society, African Americans and other minority groups in America have to endure injustices related to unequal distribution of educational and economic resources, power, and knowledge. This manifests in poverty, violence, ill-health, and oppression. These inequities are associated with differences related to race, class, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and education.

Join the New York Urban League Young Professional as we celebrate Black History Month and reflect on the struggles of our communities as it relates to Civil Rights and strategize on ways that we will join the movement to continue the fight and advocate for economic and social justice equalities.
