The inaugural Wagner Philanthropy Conference Philanthropy: Confluence, Career, Community will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 to convene students and professionals to examine the role of philanthropy in a wide range of sectors (from public policy to international development), build concrete grantmaking and fundraising skills, explore potential career paths, and to bring together a community of diverse individuals whose common interest is in philanthropy.

This conference is hosted by the student group at NYU's Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, Wagner Philanthropy, which is dedicated to exploring philanthropy's impact on public service and broadening students' networks in the areas of grantmaking and fundraising.

The day features discussions, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities starting from 9:00am to 5:00pm, culminating with a Alumni-Student Networking Happy Hour event that begins at 5:00pm at nearby Sláinte pub. All attendees are welcome to attend the networking happy hour.
