Event description

Description

Charity Week is a volunteer-led Islamic Relief campaign that funds projects to help orphans and children around the world. In 2016, organizations around the world raised over 1 million dollars. This money financed the provision of medicine and equipment to 17 pediatric clinics in Northern Syria, among many other projects. As well as the ongoing efforts in Syria, Somalia and many other countries in need, this year's Islamic Relief campaign will focus on bringing aid to the Rohingyan Muslims in Myanmar where the ethnic cleansing and genocide has forced at least half a million men, women, and children out of their homes into refugee camps at the border in Bangladesh, which has only just been opened a month ago. The contributions to the campaign will also go towards fighting the cholera outbreak that has now affected over a million people, making it the worst outbreak in history in addition to the famine and war that has plagued the country.

Charity Week brings Muslims and non-Muslims around the world together to help create positive, sustainable change. There will be an ongoing silent auction throughout the night in addition to hearing from Imam Khalid. Please join us at the Fundraising Dinner to partake in this wonderful cause to help children.
