Description

Take a two-hour historical, architectural, and musical tour of the Harlem Renaissance with The Levys’ Unique New York! Tour Guides.

You’ll learn about the incredible history of Harlem, starting with the Apollo Theater and passing by the Hotel Theresa (where Ray Charles wrote his hit song “Hit the Road, Jack!”) as well as sites relating to the history of jazz, soul, and blues. Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Nat King Cole and more will serenade you on this entertaining and educational tour.


This event is made free to the public by the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment as part of NY Music Month.
