Event description

Description

The NYEC Policy Forum has reached capacity; registration is closed.

If you would like more information about the National Youth Employment Coalition, please email NYECyouth@gmail.com.

DESCRIPTION OF THE POLICY FORUM

On November 18 NYEC will convene members and stakeholders in Washington, DC for a day-long session focusing on key federal policy issues, important aspects of WIOA implementation, and other trending youth employment topics. The Heartland Alliance, Intermediary Network, and National Skills Coalition are co-sponsoring the convening. The Pew Charitable Trusts will host the convening in their offices.

Guided by the strong response to NYEC's member survey on convening topics and the work of a panel of volunteer members, we have developed an agenda that we believe will provide attendees with high-value information and resources, including up-to-the-minute perspectives from federal government officials, insights on upcoming legislation from national experts, and opportunities to share lessons on a wide range of topics important to you and the young people you serve.

ASPEN/OYN EVENTS:

As part of registration, NYEC attendees had the opportunity to indicate interest in two additional events, the November 18 Aspen Summit on Inequality and Opportunity and the November 20 Opportunity Youth Network (OYN) Annual Meeting. Both of these meetings have reached capacity.
