Don't miss this "must see" show by 3 of the Bay Area's most popular bands!!
BESO NEGRO has been rapidly taking the music scene by storm, conjuring the spirit of Django Reinhardt onstage. Beso Negro has an all-star lineup of internationally experienced musicians who have brought drive and passion to Gypsy Jazz. Taking the hint dropped by the great folk punk bands The Pogues, Gogol Bordello and Flogging Molly, Beso Negro has transformed a genre into a vibrant new beast. Darker, faster, more danceable, more blues, more Gypsy, Beso Negro's indelible fingerprint brings Jazz Manouche to a new generation and to the 21st century.
Dubbed "The new kings of twang", CHROME JOHNSON has been one of the Bay Area's most popular Roots/Americana, Rawk bands since 1999. Featuring the talents of singer/songwriter/guitarist Danny Uzilevsky, keyboardist/harmonica player Jonathan Korty, bassist Ben Pfieffer and drummer Dana Miller, this band is a one of a kind original, guaranteed to satisfy the tastes of fans of the eclectic to the down and dirty rock and rollers. With echos of Tom Waits, Django Reinhardt, Link Wray, Ennio Morricone, Johnny Cash and Jimi Hendrix, this band has forged a sound that is at once unique yet familiar.
35R started their mission hidden in the basement of the Randolph Exchange building, in the heart of the Excelsior District in San Francisco. Between eroding concrete walls of abandoned switch boards and thick iron steam pipes 35R came to be.
