The NEW YORK CITY WRITING PROJECT invites you to join us for a morning of looking, writing, and sharing at our Winter Writing Marathon at the Museum of the City of New York. Join the NYCWP as we use the museum’s galleries, architecture and location as inspiration for our poetry and prose; then, gather with colleagues to share your writing and learn about opportunities to publish your writing within the larger NYCWP community!
Our Writing Marathons derive from those developed by Richard Louth of the Southeastern Louisiana Writing Project, adapted from Natalie Goldberg’s ideas in Writing Down the Bones.
The Writing Marathon will end at 1:00 pm; however, the NYCWP will organize a group lunch at a nearby restaurant (still TBD) for anyone who would like to continue the conversation and camaraderie. We hope you will all be able to join us for that, as well!
