Event description

Description

Connected Learning: Investigate! Create! Publish!

Connect students’ academic learning with their personal passions; connect students with each other in and beyond their own classrooms. In this all-day workshop, participants will take advantage of technology to create authentic and collaborative reading and writing experiences with all learners. We will explore several online platforms, such as Youth Voices, NowComment, and LRNG Playlists.

Teachers of all grades and content areas are invited to join the New York City Writing Project for a full-day, experiential workshop that explores the ways teachers can support students' learning in reading and writing. This workshop is a CTLE-approved and will provide 7 hours of CTLE-credit.

While teachers of all grade levels and content areas are invited to attend, please note that 1/28/19 is a Chancellor's PD Day for High School teachers. Please confirm with your administration that you can be released to attend this workshop prior to placing an order.

If you are a school administrator who would like to pay for a group of teachers using a purchase order, please email our school programs coordinator, Emmy Williamson, at emmy@nycwritingproject.org.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

This event will be photographed. By registering for this event, you grant permission for the NYCWP to publish photography that may include your image in promotional materials.
