NYCMT Presents: Where do we go from here? Election, policy, and education.
Event Information
About this event
Join NYC Men Teach for a panel discussion focused on a variety of current events, including the presidential election, its implications on education policy, and the need for more male educators of color in NYC classrooms. COVID has presented a number of challenges in education, along with the impact of social injustice within our communities, and our teachers and students are feeling the impact. During an interactive discussion with political and educational experts, we will discuss “where we go from here “ as educators of color teaching in urban schools. We will be joined by Assemblyman Michael Blake, NYC Special Education Teacher and Restorative Justice Coordinator, Jorge Santos, and NYC Education Administrator, Rashaun Banjo. Be prepared to engage in critical discussion!
