Description

NYC Beer Week deserves a solid Sunday brunch, so we're teaming up with our Nya Carnegie family & new neighbors Williamsburg Hotel on Sunday, February 26 at noon to bring you a brunch of transatlantic proportions. Brooklyn Brewery Chef Andrew Gerson, Nya Carnegie Chef Luke Hurst, and Harvey & Williamsburg Hotel Chef Adam Leonti are preparing a special menu focused on the venerated smorgas, or open-faced sandwich, and smoked and cured seafood that is a hallmark of both Nordic and classic New York cuisine.

Each chef will have their own station to sample their take on the traditional smorgas style. Take their inspiration and try your hand at a new pairing with heaps of locally baked rye bread, traditional offerings including herring, whitefish salad, and caviar, brought in from Sweden and sourced locally from local friend & partner, Acme Smoked Fish,and a few new twists. Everything will pair up with beers from ourselves and our sister, and Swedish hot shots that'll dust off any rubble from the night before.

Tickets will include:

+ All the delicious open face sandwiches you can eat!
+ Tastings of some of our favorite Nya Carnegie & Brooklyn beers, paired to go with brunch

Menu:
From NYC & Chef Andrew
+ Nova, with cream cheese, red onion, cherry tomatos, & cracked pepper, served on a freshly baked bagel
+ Pastrami Smoked Salmon, served on a freshly baked bagel with cream cheese
+ Whitefish Salad, with diced onion, micro herbs, & cracked black pepper, served on a freshly baked bagel
+ Whole Whitefish, with avocado, maldon salt, Thai pepper rounds, & micro basil, served on a freshly baked bagel

From Stockholm & Chef Luke
+ Toast Skagen, baby shrimp dressed with mayonaise, red onion, dill, lemon juice, & bleak roe (löjrom) served on freshly baked rye bread
+ Matjessill, matjes herring served with boiled eggs, creme fraiche, red onions, fill, chives, and brown butter served on freshly baked rye bread
+ Gravad Lax (Gravlax), with gravlax sauce (a mustard dill sauce), fill & lemon, served on freshly baked rye bread
