Are you interested in getting into the event production field? Have you always wanted a behind-the-scenes peak into a national production company? Volunteering with Cannonball Productions at this fall's Whiskey Feast is your opportunity to be an "intern for a day"! Check out what you'll get below.
A hip new shirt. All volunteers will be given a festival shirt to distinguish you as one of our most important helpers.
Free entry to the event or booze to take home!
Event experience for your resume. After completing your shift, you will be able to add our festival to your work experience in the events field. You will have the opportunity to ask the Cannonabll staff members any of your burning industry questions. Knowledge is power!
New friends. You will be able to network with other volunteers and professionals with similar interests to you. Food and drinks bring people together, so use this to your advantage.
Community connections. You can earn community service hours for your time spent at Whiskey Fried. Just bring any forms you need signed! We will also be partnering with local charities and food recovery programs, so you can feel good about helping those in need.
What will volunteers do?
Set-up the festival. Volunteers will help staff place tablecloths and signage, set up activity stations, assist with vendor load-in and any last minute preparations before the festival begins.
Registration. A team of volunteers will work the entrance, checking IDs, scanning tickets, handing out tasting glasses and directing attendees into the festival. When registration closes, you will be moved to another duty.
Activities. Groups will run activity stations including pretzel necklace making, temporary tattoos, game areas with horseshoes and lawn games, event contests and assisting with the music acts.
Vendor assistance. Often vendors request extra help onsite to help prep their dishes. A small team of volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about the food industry from a hands-on perspective.
***Please keep in mind that consuming alcohol and sampling food during your shift is not allowed***
