Sammy of Sammy Davis Vintage, Enovia Bedford of Mixie Management LLC and Yoli Ouiya of Yoli’s Green Living present to you: NYC THRIFTING COLLECTIVE, the first and only organization bringing you chartered THRIFT TRIPS to explore the world of secondhand fashion beyond the limits of New York City.
Our inaugural event on Saturday, November 23rd will engage attendees with THREE under-the-radar thrift stores in a top secret city of northern New Jersey.
Thrifters will have approximately one hour at each store to shop, style and score thrifty deals that can’t be found in NYC!!
NOTE: We request attendees not promote exact location of thrift stores on social media or via FourSquare. This ensures that the THRIFTER'S COLLECTIVE offers a unique experience for you and other attendees in the future.

Meeting Location & Time: 10AM in midtown, Manhattan at Dunkin’ Donuts at 323 West 42nd Street between 8th & 9th Avenues
Get to know other thrifters, grab coffee + bagels, and hop on board your personal transportation!
~ 10AM: Meet at Dunkin' Donuts at 323 West 42nd Street btwn. 8th & 9th Avenues
~ 10:30AM: Departure from NYC via chartered bus
~ 11AM: Arrival at first thrift store
~ 12PM: Leave first thrift store
~ 12:15PM: Arrive at second thrift store
~ 1:30PM: Leave second thrift store
~ 1:45PM: Arrive at third thrift store
~ 2:45PM: Leave third store store
~ 3:30PM: Arrive back in NYC at Dunkin' Donuts on 42nd Street
| HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXPECT TO SPEND? |
All thrift stores accept CREDIT, but for those who need “control” we suggest a budget of approximately $50 to get the ultimate THRIFT HAUL.

| WHAT ELSE SHOULD I BRING? |
An oversize tote bag for carrying your finds / multiple bags
Wear tight clothes or layer baggy clothes over spandex and a fitted shirt so that you can try clothes on in the aisles
Snacks and water for energy replenishing. We'll make a quick stop at a convenience store after wrapping at the first store at approximately 12:15PM, if time permits.

Sammy Davis is a passionate thrifter with 10+ years experience buying 85% of her wardrobe secondhand. Her first love was the Salvation Army at age 16 - no man has ever since satisfied her more.
She founded Sammy Davis Vintage in 2009 to raise the soul-inspiring, #vintagelove benefits of buying styles from the past. She works as a consultant for eBay and coaches vintage sellers on how to market their finds to a digital e-commerce audience.
This vintage evangelist loves anything with sequins or from the 1960s. Her mission is to help women feel their very best in all matters of living, both external and internal.

Enovia of MIXIE MANAGEMENT LLC
Enovia Bedford is a fashionpreneur to the fullest. With 10+ years in the fashion jewelry industry, she has taken on every role in the business. Designing for stores such as Forever 21, Bebe, Charlotte Russe, Target, Candies and her private brand she's also worked in sales, production, marketing and her favorite, trend forecasting.
Enovia forecasts trends based on the past making vintage and thrift a large part of her personal and work life. Her favorite vintage pieces range from '40s to the '80s. She's a sucker for jumpsuits, onsies and rompers.
Her introduction to vintage and infatuation with fashion started at the tender age of 4. Her father, a contractor specializing in home improvements would tot his youngster around to different jobs. Along the way she met one of his clients, an older woman who taught her about vintage and fashion. Those days spent playing in a walk-in closet overflowing with clothes and accessories is what sparked an undying fire and flare for fashion.
Yoli of YOLI'S GREEN LIVING
Yoli Ouiya, noted as the “Queen of Green” by Black Enterprise Magazine, is a Green & Healthy Living Expert and Green Chef. She currently operates a green and natural lifestyle website Yolisgreenliving.com and boutique eco-lifestyle outfit Yoli’s Green Living Group.
Black Enterprise included Yoli in its “Top 20 National Bloggers” of 2012, was named ‘Best in Green Living” by AllParenting.com, and listed as “Top 17 Black Woman Bloggers to Watch in 2013″ by ForHarriet.com.
With a certification in Plant Based Nutrition from Cornell, she offers workshops, lectures, and organizes a variety of eco-chic green themed events in New York. She is currently on the board of directors for The New York Coalition for Healthy School Food, a health and nutrition specialist for Harlem Children’s Zone, and co-authoring a book slated for completion Spring 2014.
