Event description
Daydream 5K Art Run & Festival features street art, running, costumes, food & music

About this event

Let your inner Spirit Animal run wild at the second annual NYC Daydream 5K Art Run and Festival! Come play with us at a TBA location (in Lower Manhattan or Brooklyn). Join the World's Biggest Art Run as we gather to celebrate art, running, food, music, and our neighborhoods! This year's theme is Spirit Animals, so come dressed as your animal spirits. There will be face painting before the run, music, a costume contest, giveaways, and of course an incredible 5K Art Run to see NYC's best street art!

Here's the lineup:

  • 10 am Music, Check In, Bag Drop, and Face Painting
  • 11 am 5K Art Run begins
  • Noon - 2 pm music, costume contest, raffle, and food!

Is this a race?

No, the Daydream Experience is about enjoying art and community. The Art Run will be at a 10-minute-mile pace, with several stops for photos and talking about murals along the way. The Art Run will take about an hour and will cover 5K or 3.1 miles. All levels of runners are welcome, just be able to run for 3 miles.

What should I bring?

Come ready to run! We will have a bag drop but recommend taking valuables on the run as we are not liable for any lost items.

Should I dress up?

Yes! We encourage everyone to come as your Spirit Animal. This can be anything from a tiger onesie to a full glitter suit and unicorn attire. Your imagination is the limit!

How does the face painting work?

We will have local artists painting faces before the Art Run. This is included free with your ticket. Arrive early if you want to get your face painted.

What will the music be like?

We will have a DJ playing old-school hip hop, dance, and pop music.

Where does the run begin and end?

This is TBA, coming soon!

What else will be happening?

There will be a photographer at the event and you will be emailed a photo album following the Daydream Experience. We also encourage your own photos and posting.

Use #Daydream5K in all posts and tag @Runstreet to enter the photo contest.

I cannot attend. Are there refunds?

No, tickets are non-refundable. You can, however, transfer your ticket to someone else. Email your name and the name of your replacement person to hello@runstreet.com.

What if the weather is bad?

In the case of extremely hazardous weather, we will reschedule the event and you will have guaranteed entry to the rescheduled Art Run. If you cannot make the rescheduled Art Run, you will receive credit for a future Runstreet Art Run event.

I have kids, can they come too?

Yes, kids are welcome! Kids under 12 run free. Older kids/teens can be registered the same as everyone else.

I have more questions, who can I ask?

Email hello@runstreet.com.
