Nuts and Bolts of Filing a U Petition for Domestic Violence Survivors

For attorneys and legal advocates who are drafting U Petitions.

In the uncertain world of immigration, survivors may be eligible for U non-immigrant status if they meet certain requirements. Attend this training to discuss best practices towards the goal of legal status for immigrant survivors. This training will focus on creating well written petitions for immigration and obtaining required documents for local law enforcement.

Suzanne Bailey, Esq., Project Director and Chloe Meade, Legal Advocate for the Women's Law Center of Maryland's Multi-Ethnic Domestic Violence Project (MEDOVI) which provides immigration legal services to Maryland residents who are survivors of domestic violence, human sex trafficking and sexual assault.
