Event description

Description

Join Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Nutrition Services for this special National Nutrition Month presentation!

There is an ever-growing distance and disconnection between people and where their food is harvested. In order to promote food sustainability to ensure the world’s growing population has access to a healthy diet, we must address food locality and seasonality.

This discussion will increase awareness of the environmental and health benefits of eating local, seasonal foods, while also touching upon finding balance in your nutrition because we do not all live in geographic regions where this style of eating is possible year round. Learn ways to connect with your community through appreciation of food, farmers, and nourishing your body!

Guest Speaker: Taylor Nonnenmacher Dietetic Intern for UNH Cooperative Extension through the University of Northern Colorado

FREE and open to the public.
