Event description

Description

There is no single best diet for humans. What we eat and how it affects not only our taste buds but also our health is individual. Healthy food for one can be almost poison for another. Luckily, our genes can give us a hint, which food we should eat and which be should rather avoid. This scientific approach is called Nutrigenomics, and that's what this meetup is about.

Manish Kumar, PhD in Molecular Biology, product manager at Centogene, author, influencer, and aging research enthusiast will give an input on how our genes and microbiome define which food is best for us and what has an effect on how we crave, process, and use food. He will also speak about how Nutrigenomics emerged as a science and how it might influence the future of nutrition science.

After that we will have a little Q&A session and give you tips how to implement your own nutrigenomic diet.

We also have news from Yolife's side: the alpha version of our app will soon be available for a limited number of testers, so you will the chance to sign up for it and support us with your feedback.
