Description

The CUNY Graduate Center Nursing Doctorate Alumni Assoication welcome you to attend the 2019 Annual Reseach Day. All interested attendee(s) must register for the event.

Submission Deadline: January 20, 2019
Research Day: March 29, 2019
Keynote Speaker: Paul Quinn, PhD, CNM, RN-BC, NEA-BC, CEN, CCRN

Poster abstracts are being accepted for the 2019 Graduate Center Nursing Doctorate Research Day.

Categories: Topics must be related to:

  • Research: original research or replication studies (generating new generalizable knowledge)
  • Quality improvement (monitoring/evaluating care processes and outcomes)
  • Evidence-based practice (translating knowledge to practice; implementing best practices)
  • Practice-based nursing research (including management or education)

Review: Abstracts will be reviewed on scientific merit, clinical relevance and clarity.

Submission Instructions:

  • Abstract word limit: Submissions are limited to 250 words. The 250-word limit does not include the title, headers, author names, and affiliations.
  • Format abstract headers according to research poster category:
    * Research: Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussion.
    * Quality Improvement: Problem, Aim, Methods, and Outcomes.
    * Evidence-Based Practice: EBP or PICOT Question, Method of Appraisal, and Findings.

Poster Information:

    • Posters dimensions: 2’ x 3’
    • Significance & Background: Explain how the topic is significant, important, or relevant to nursing. Address the rationale or background for the study
    • Purpose: Clearly state the purpose, specific aims, or objectives of this study.
    • Conceptual Framework: Clearly state the conceptual or clinical model/ theoretical framework or philosophic frame of reference (for qualitative research).
    • Methods: Describe the design, sample, and data-collection instruments or methods used to gather data as well as procedures for data analysis.
    • Findings/Conclusion: Describe the findings and how the findings may impact the profession of nursing. Summarize the conclusion from the findings.
