Nueva Math Circle is a joyful math enrichment event where guest mathematicians and math educators lead students from preK–10th grade in engaging math activities or investigations. Students also have the option to explore games and puzzles in the I-Lab. The speakers for our May 5th Math Circle are:
Dr. Mark Saul, Executive Director of Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival
Federico Chialvo, Director of Mathematics, Synapse School
Lora Saarnio, Nueva Math Specialist
This is a community outreach event that is open to the public. Please be advised that this is *not* a drop-off event for Lower School students. Parents are invited to join their child(ren) in the LS session. Pizza and snacks will be available for purchase. Online registration is preferable as every Math Circle was sold out last year. Check-in is in front of the library - please have your digital ticket barcode ready to be scanned; printed tickets are also accepted.
This will be the last Nueva Math Circle for 2016-2017. We look forward to seeing you at this incredibly fun event!
