Romans 15:13 says “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” JOY Conference is hosted by North Texas District UPCI for the ladies of the North Texas Region. It is our goal that mothers, daughters, friends, and families leave the conference with a renewed joy and peace, hopeful for the journey ahead.
This time of dynamic worship and speaking is sure to be a refreshing experience for all who attend. We invite you to join us and let the power of His presence renew you; that your JOY may be full.

Janice Sjöstrand, EdD, is a professional educator and alumna of the University of Arkansas. During her professional career, she has served as high school classroom teacher of Spanish and English, secondary administrator for English as a Second Language, guest lecturer at the University of Arkansas, and motivational speaker for various venues throughout the United States. Currently, she serves on the UC/UGST Board of Trustees. Also a musician and vocalist, Janice has written numerous songs, among which is “Alabaster Box,” recorded by CeCe Winans.
Janice ministers with her husband at Christian Apostolic Church in Newark, Ohio, where she lives with her family: 2 daughters, 1 son-in-law, and 2 granddaughters. She continues to travel and is a featured speaker at numerous church conferences nationally and internationally.
Donna Linville, of Portsmouth, VA, grew up in the land of sweet tea and Southern hospitality, and her Mississippi accent can still sneak into her conversation from time to time. She and her husband, Gary, now pastor the First United Pentecostal Church of Portsmouth and she also serves as the Ladies Ministries President of the Virginia District.
Additionally, she has served as a regional board member for the Ladies Ministries of the UPCI, and as a board member of New Beginnings. She is a singer, recording artist, and international speaker. Her "With Honors" recording was highlighted on Focus on the Family.
Donna's keen understanding of the healing value of humor and her ability to punctuate messages with healthy laughter has endeared her to the hearts of many. Sis. Linville travels around the globe sharing the wacky, wonderful life lessons God has taught her.
Thetus Tenney has been involved in active Christian ministry for over six decades. She is the author of several books, as well as the co-author of How to Chase God While Chasing Kids. Her book, PrayerTakes Wings has been republished and translated into Spanish.
A regular contributor to Spirit Led Woman and a former member of that magazine’s advisory board, Thetus maintains an active speaking schedule that takes her all over the world. She served as International Coordinator of the World Network of Prayer from its inception until her retirement in 2009. She has also served on the Louisiana State Board of Education. She is married to T. F. Tenney, a well-known minister, speaker, and author.
Reverend Tenney and his wife, Thetus, make their home in Alexandria, Louisiana. They maintain an active schedule, traveling nationally and internationally, ministering the message of God’s love and power of deliverance to thousands of hungry hearts. They have two children: a son, Tommy Tenney, and a daughter, Teri Spears, both of whom are in full-time ministry. They have five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
