About this event
The Scramble format means that each team player will throw an initial drive from the tee box. All follow-up throws will be taken from the closest shot for that team.
Teams of 3-6 players will begin at an assigned tee.
There will be a “shotgun” start at 11:00. If there are more than the 36 teams registered, a second later start time will be assigned.
For those new to the sport, there will be a limited number of discs available to rent at a minimal fee.
If you have a Frisbee disc, that is totally usable for this sport!
In the spirit of fundraising and “Chikumbuso” (remembrance), this is a winner’s trophy only fun event. In case of a tie, the winning team will be determined by a tiebreaker, “Closest to the Pin” on the 18th hole.
All players will need to sign a “Waiver of Liability” at the registration table on the day of the event.
THE COURSE:
Chikumbuso Disc Golf Course is a privately owned 18-hole, par 3 course that is open to members and their guests and for charity events. While the holes max out at 300 feet, your shot shapes and accuracy will be tested throughout this rolling, lightly wooded park style track! This hidden gem was opened to private memberships in 2021. Be amongst the first in the area to try this totally unique, super fun sport on an incredible course layout!
