Description

Join NPT, Nashville Public Radio and the Tennessee State Museum for a preview of the upcoming Ken Burns COUNTRY MUSIC documentary series. The sneak preview will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Nashville Public Radio's Jason Moon Wilkins and featuring NPR music critic and correspondent Ann Powers.

COUNTRY MUSIC explores the history of a uniquely American art form. From its deep and tangled roots in ballads, blues and hymns performed in small settings, to its worldwide popularity, learn how country music evolved over the course of the 20th century. The series, directed by Ken Burns, features never-before-seen footage and photographs, plus interviews with more than 80 country music artists.
