Description

Technology is revolutionizing transportation in America’s cities. Cities are partnering with Uber and Lyft to expand trip options. Phones have transportation applications to help people get from point A to point B. That is today but what might transportation look like in the “City of the Future?”

A panel of transportation experts will discuss what is being done to make city transportation, especially public transit options, more desirable and efficient and what the future may hold for our nation’s cities at a National Press Club Headliners Newsmaker on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. in the Club’s Bloomberg Room.

Panelists include:

  • Vincent Valdes, Associate Administrator of Research, Demonstration & Innovation at the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration
  • Diana Mendes, Mid-Atlantic Division President and Transit/Rail Practice Leader of HNTB Corp.

The National Press Club is located on the 13th Floor of the National Press Building at 529 14th St., NW, Washington, D.C. This news conference is open to credentialed media and NPC members free of charge, but advance registration is required.
