Scott Hilsen, Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer/Assistant General Counsel, Cox Auto Inc.

Scott has over 25 years of legal, compliance, and investigation experience as a Partner in an AmLaw Top 25 Law Firm, a Managing Director in a Big Four Accounting Firm, and currently as the Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer / Assistant General Counsel of a $7 billion global company. He has authored three novels - The Key Holders, Fraudulent Intention$, and Cloud of Lies - www.amazon.com and www.scotthilsen.net.

Scott is the past President of the Georgia Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, he is on the ACFE’s National Advisory Council, and he is a member and former chair of the Forensic Accounting Advisory Board at Georgia Southern University. He is a founder of the Securities and Corporate Litigation subsection of the Atlanta Bar Association, and the eDiscovery and Use of Technology section of the Georgia Bar Association. He has been chosen repeatedly by Law and Politics as a Georgia Super Lawyer.

Scott is the Chair of the Board of Directors of Hands on Atlanta, a non-profit addressing Atlanta's most pressing needs through volunteerism and community engagement. www.handsonatlanta.org

Charles Hall, Quality Control Partner, McNair, McLemore, Middlebrooks & Co

Charles became a CPA in 1987 and a Certified Fraud Examiner in 2004. He has spent most of his career providing auditing services, both internal and external, to local governments, nonprofits and small businesses. Charles obtained his Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia in 1984 and has thirty-four years of experience in accounting and auditing. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Georgia Government Finance Officers Association. He is a past member of the Georgia Society of CPAs’ Peer Review Committee and a past chairman of the Georgia Society of CPAs’ Governmental Accounting and Auditing Committee. Charles is the author of The Little Book of Local Government Fraud Prevention, The Why and How of Auditing, and Preparation of Financial Statements and Compilation Engagements. He is a contributing author for Thomson Reuter’s Guide to Cash, Tax, and Other Bases of Accounting and Thomas Reuter’s Guide to Audits of Local Governments. Refund Policy

Because of the electronic registration process we are using, AGA Atlanta has updated its event refund policy. All attendees can receive a full refund if they cancel 7-days prior to the event. They can receive a partial refund (the registration less any fees) up until two days before the event. However, no refunds will be issued if you cancel within 48 hours of the event. However, if you cannot attend and would like to send someone in your place, this can be done (at no additional charge) right up until the start of the event.
