November 19 Hike

Join the Frassati Fellowship of NYC on Saturday, November 19th for our last fall hike of 2022! We will be embarking on a moderate hike in Harriman State Park, NY. More details will be sent to those who register.

A note on the ticket sales: only a limited number of tickets will be released initially. Please join the waitlist if it is sold out, and we will email you as we open more spots.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made some adjustments to our typical hike schedule and procedure in order to take precautions and reduce the risk of exposure to the virus. Please read the following carefully if you are interested in attending.

We will meet for early morning Mass in NYC, and immediately after Mass we will carpool to the trailhead together. We will be unable to provide our usual breakfast of coffee and bagels so we ask that everyone bring their own breakfast (or eat before you come) and lunch.

Our plan is to carpool to the hike as usual, with some modifications:

• We will allow a maximum of 3 extra passengers per car
• All passengers and the driver must wear a mask at all times while in the car

In order to preserve the experience of fellowship and to ensure the day goes smoothly, we typically do not allow hikers to travel separately from the main group. However, given the current situation we are allowing people who have means of transportation and who are uncomfortable with meeting up with the main group to join us at the trailhead. If you are meeting us at the trail, you must still sign up for this event - there will be an option on the order form to let us know you will be joining us at the trail.

After Mass, we will leave directly for the trailhead, so please eat before you come or bring food for breakfast. If you're meeting us at the trailhead, please eat breakfast before you arrive. We will begin the hike as usual, eat our lunches on the trail and have time set aside for reveling in God's creation as well as some low-pressure group prayer.

Please read the following notes before you register:

• We cannot guarantee a return time back to the city, so please do not make evening plans.
• This event is open to all young adults in their 20's and 30's. If you are over 39 years of age, please do not sign up. You can find other fabulous events at Catholic NYC.
• Please only sign yourself up for this hike.
• Everyone who wants to attend the hike must register and sign the Eventbrite waiver. You are welcome to invite all your friends, but they must sign up through this page!

Please note: the Frassati Fellowship is a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization and we do not seek to profit from these events. We set registration fees for each hike based on the cost of reimbursing our volunteer drivers for fuel and parking fees, public transportation, providing breakfast for the hikers, and assisting the religious brothers, sisters, and priests in being able to hike with us.
