Event description

Description

Join us for an informative workshop on the short and long term effects of sugar-sweetened beverages on your child and how little changes to nutrition today can have huge impacts for the rest of your child's life! You will also learn why your child prefers chocolate milk to the real stuff, tips and tools to encourage beneficial nutrition changes without breaking the bank, and keys to starting and sticking with healthy habits.

This will be a collaborative classroom, so feel free to share what has worked in your own family.

About the instructor: Born and raised in Portland, Joseph Peterson is a Physician Assistant student nearing completion of his studies at Oregon Health and Science University. Passionate about health and nutrition, Joseph has written and lectured on these subjects for years. His hobbies are running, growing communities around Portland, cooking, and photography.

This workshop is held in the living room of Mother & Child Education Center.
