Event description

Description

The DC Society of Health Policy Young Professionals (SHPYP) invites you to join us for an off-the-record and non-partisan discussion on pharmaceutical policy, one of the areas in health care most likely to experience major changes in 2019.

Across the policy and industry landscape, there are differences in opinion about the fundamental elements of pricing and value for prescription drugs in both government programs and the commercial sector. Join us for a conversation that will level-set and then dive deep into issues around pricing and value that have real-world impacts for patients, industry, and the government.

Our panel of seasoned health policy experts will unpack the debate and cover topics including: philosophical questions about value for distinct populations, the promise and challenges of paying for value, innovations in biosimilar products and gene therapy, and more.

Doors open at 6:00 pm for networking prior to the discussion and light refreshments and snacks will be provided. We hope to see you there!
