Description

The Music Box Theatre returns to its nostalgic silent film past this fall!

On October 26, 2018, The Music Box Theatre will host multiple showings of the 1922 classic silent horror film Nosferatu accompanied live by The Curse of the Vampire Orchestra. This unique show was created by Minneapolis composer, Philip Shorey and features local symphony and choral musicians mixed with modern industrial electronica. “Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror” recently returned from its premier to more than two thousand people at the SLOT festival in Poland, and Shorey is excited to share it with his hometown for a “pay what you want” price this Halloween season.

The Music Box Theatre was first opened in 1920 for silent film & vaudeville and has been a mixed use space throughout its management over the past century. The current theatre managers strive to make great art accessible and affordable to all members of the community and are excited to bring back this nostalgic art form this fall.

Showtimes: 7:00pm and 9:30pm

Parking: If you are driving to the event, parking can be found along the street, at the Hyatt parking ramp or in the South lot. Buses (17, 18, 10, 11, 30) all run to the venue. We encourage biking because it is fun and good for everyone.
