Event description

Description

Please join us on Friday, December 7th at Northwest Career and Technical Academy in Mount Vernon to learn how your company can offer apprenticeships. This workshop is primarily designed for business and education leaders to encourage organizations to develop intern and apprentice programs. There are lots of examples of career-connected learning right now, but the challenge is to build a system that can ensure everyone has access to high-quality experiences. Apprenticeships are the ideal vehicle to train young adults job-ready skills through mentorship while providing quality education and creating productive, lifelong learners. Join other local business leaders and community organizations to better understand current and upcoming apprenticeship programs in the Northwest and how your company can participate too.

Speakers include: Suzi Levine, Commissioner, Employment Security Department; Kevin Corrigan, Nichols Brothers Boat Builders; Shannon Matson, Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee (AJAC); and, Craig Nolte, Regional Manager, Community Development, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
