Event description
Share your experience and knowledge of being a young person and/or working with and supporting young people in the Northern region.

About this Event

The Northern Partnership invites young people, organisations and service providers, educators, Government and business that work with young people to come together to share their experiences and ideas about what could be done differently to better connect more young people across the region with each other and their communities.

Get others involved!

We know that Melbourne's North is a geographically and demographically diverse region and we need your help in promoting this event to people aged 16-25 years. Please share this event with those in your network that you think could offer a different perspective to the discussion of what it's like to live in Melbourne's North.

Why should I attend?

We know that when young people don’t feel understood by their peers or connected to their communities there are impacts on their participation in school, work and social events and poor health outcomes for individuals and our communities.

  • Have you got an idea about how we could do things differently?
  • What actions can we take now or in the future to solve some of the challenges facing young people?
  • What are the ways we could make the North an even better place to live, work and study in for young people?

We want to hear from you! The Partnership is looking for people who want to use their skills and experiences for good. Individual stories can be a catalyst for change, so come along and be a part of building the voice of young people in Melbourne's North.

Online Participation

Do you have a story or idea about connecting young people in the North? But you can't make it to the Northern Youth Forum, then please go ahead and share your story on Engage Victoria

We want to hear directly from young people on why it is important to feel more connected and part of a community. We also want to hear from people and organisations that work with young people.

  • Individual stories can be a catalyst for change - what's your story?
  • How can we help more young people to succeed?

About Us

The Northern Metropolitan Partnership is an advisory group established by the Victorian Government. The Partnership is a way for local communities to engage directly with state and local governments, and advise the Victorian Government of the top priorities for jobs, services and infrastructure across the region. This advice will be become part of the government’s key decision-making processes. This year the Northern Partnership is focusing on hearing from young people and building a regional voice for young people in the North to elevate their priorities to government decision maker.
