Event description

Description

December meeting Northeast Ohio Workshop for Digital Libraries (NOW-DL). This is an informal group of Northeast Ohio individuals and institutions that are either in the planning stages or actively working on a digitization project(s). Attend this meeting to network with colleagues while learning about the Internet Archive (https://archive.org/) and ArchiveIT (https://archive-it.org/) as digital platforms useful to libraries and historical societies.

Schedule for Afternoon, December 14, 2017

  • 1:00-1:30 – Informal time with cookies, coffee, and digital content

  • 1:30-2:15 -- Skype presentation by IA staff on Internet Archive and ArchiveIT

  • 2:30-3:15 Rachel McPheron from Cleveland Museum of Art presents on CMA's use of Internet Archive in her work

  • 3:15-3:45 Cleveland PL Staff presents on the local experience of the Community Webs Project using ArchiveIT.

Contact digitization@cpl.org with suggestions for topics that we can highlight in future meetings. We'd love for the group to hear about projects done by institutions in our region.
