Attendees will be able to understand the use of blood flow restriction in athletes. Explain how blood flow restriction can be used to enhance strength as well as how blood flow restriction can be used to enhance skeletal muscle hypertrophy. Demonstrate how to apply practical blood flow restriction to athletes

“Utilizing Breath to Help Enhance Movement and Athletic Performance”

Attendees will learn the difference between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system and the breath associated with each. Understand the importance of nasal breathing during a workout and cool down. Learn simple tools for better adapting to stress. Learn how efficient breath work can enhance athletic performance. Learn how efficient breathing improves mobility and movement

“The Importance of Physical Activity in Athletes with Disabilities”

Participants will learn the positive impact of physical recreation and adapted sports programs. Identify characteristics of athletes with developmental disabilities that make it challenging for participation and exercise. Recognize how to adapt exercises for those with disabilities

“The Coach or Athletic Trainer as a Missionary to the Millennial Culture”

Participants will be able to see differences in age related cultures and how they are interpreted in athletics. What the different communication styles that are used in professions that deal with athletes to help improve athletic performance or assist in injury management. Identify your communication style and identify characteristics of your personality and communication style and do they work. Identify cross-cultural relationships and understand their culture and customs. Learn to speak the Millennial Population language and bring changes that benefit them and communicate your message.
