Event description

Description

Join the Northeast KCK Community Council as we host a breakfast for current and interested members of our Community Innovation Design Pilot program! The Historic Northeast Midtown Association is our lead partner in Wyandotte County, and this region represents one of three communities selected to participate in this pilot program. The purpose of the Community Innovation Design Model pilot program is to provide a proven process and guidebook that allows community leaders to deepen relationships, strategize around regional assets, explore needs and innovation opportunities, and elevate the voice of the people.

Through this pilot program, in each community we're asking:

  • Who are we?
  • What can we do to today with what we have?
  • How can we activate our underestimated/underused assets to elevate community wealth?
  • How can we use what we learn to accelerate innovation?
  • How can we own what we have and will create?

The pilot program consists of monthly sessions on wealth and asset development and innovation opportunities. The process will be led by a Community Council, a curated group of 7-15 members that either live, play, work, own, or worship in the community.

This event is free to attend but registration is required. Refreshments will be provided.

This nine-month pilot program was developed through the Kauffman Foundation Innovator in Residence program. With questions, please contact the SEED Collective team at cidmpilot@gmail.com or the Historic Northeast Midtown Association at synthia.isah@gmail.com.
