Event Details

Northampton invites community members to participate in the second Northampton Community Energy Forum on October, 9th. The forum is part of an ongoing initiative to create a Clean Energy Roadmap for Northampton. It builds on results from the first community forum held in August.*

Building on community input from the first forum, as well as a City mapping assessments and other research, participants at the 201 forum will review and prioritize a range of clean energy project types for Northampton. Experts will also be on hand to discuss pros, cons, and options for local project development with Northampton citizens.

The 201 Forum will be hosted in the auditorium at Northampton Senior Center from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Doors open at 6:00 pm to the public. Drinks and refreshments will be served.

The Community Energy Strategies Program is an initiative developed by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) in collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) Green Communities Division. It provides local residents and businesses an opportunity to work with city leaders to identify, assess, and enable new energy efficiency, renewable energy, and renewable heating and cooling projects and programs to serve the Northampton community
