Embracing the Autistic Voice to Transform Attitudes

The North Wales Autism Conference is now in its third year and is organised by a group of Autistic individuals and Parents of Autistic children and adults.

This event is an opportunity to hear the lived experience and knowledge from educators, researchers and specialists working in the field of Autism.


We will be running Parallel Sessions just before lunch. Choose your preferred session from the list below:

- Autism and the Environment - how to make adaptations to create accessible environments for Autistic individuals
- Autism and Gender Fluidity - discussing different aspects of gender
- School Transitions - the importance of planning person-centred support at major transition points within Education
- Self Advocacy for Adults - the importance of developing self-advocacy skills for Autistic adults
- Barriers to Communication - embracing alternative communication methods to break down barriers
- Integrated Autism Service - an overview of the new Integrated Autism Service in Wales: what it is and how it can help
