Join other homeschool students in grades 6th-12th for a weekly Markerspace & Innovation Lab where you'll explore technology and trades while working on projects in a student-led collaborative environment preparing you for your future career and higher education.

IMPORTANT - To attend, you must RSVP going and obtain tickets through Eventbrite. If you are a new or returning student, you must complete the Spring 2020 registration that will be sent via email after you obtain your tickets through Eventbrite. Thank you for your understanding!


- Meets Tuesdays from 2-4, September through April at TSTC in North Texas, Red Oak, TX

- Spring Semester runs from 2/4 through 4/28 with Spring Break being the week of 3/10/2020.

- Topics covered include Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Gadgets & Gears, Tech & Trade Exploration, Coding & Design, 3-D Modeling, Device Management, Entrepreneurship, Tech Ethics, Marketplace Demands, Marketing, Machine Technology, Software Administration, and the skills needed to bring ideas to life and to the marketplace.

- Attendance is free and registration is open year-round.

- Upon initial registration for the semester, an email will be sent confirming your interested with a link to complete registration. This document must be completed prior to the first day student attends class.

- RSVP is required prior to attendance each week and limited space is available. If a student is unable to attend a previously confirmed class or will be withdrawing from the semester, it is requested that they cancel their RSVP on eventbrite prior to the event to open their spot to another student.

- Some projects will take several meetings to complete and weekly attendance is encouraged.

- Communications for the Innovation Lab will be sent via email through Eventbrite (please make sure you check your email prior to attending) or from, and updates will posted on the Facebook Group at


- TSTC offers college level programs (including dual credit classes). Degrees and certificates they offer include precision machinery, cyber security, computer aided drafting, diesel mechanics, electrical engineering, computer networking, welding, HVAC, etc.

- The students tour different parts of the TSTC campus, learn about the programs and degrees they offer, the types of careers available, what all the machines do, and hear from instructors and tech leaders in the community when they are available. TSTC has a lot of machines and tech to experience first-hand to understand current technologies. This alone makes a tremendous impact in the life of the students to see it and to spark interest in trade and tech careers.

- There is time in the labs to tinker and explore and opportunities for students to speak and present their ideas. They are the leaders of tomorrow and these are great skills to have, so it is nurtured as much as possible.

- No level of math or science needed. Everything is entry level and those that advance faster or have a focused interest will be grouped accordingly for more advanced projects and specialized learning.

Solutions Innovation Labs hosts the North Texas Homeschool Innovation Lab at TSTC in North Texas located in Red Oak, Texas. The Innovation Lab services homeschooled students from Ellis, Dallas, Tarrant, Navarro and surrounding counties.
