NORA BROWN: norabrownmusic.com

"Nora plays traditional music with a focus on southern Appalachian banjo and guitar playing.

Along with mentors in the noratheast like the late John Cohen she also has traveled and learned directly from master musicians including Alice Gerrard, George Gibson and the late Lee Sexton and Art Rosenbaum.

She has played numerous venues and festivals in the US and Europe including the Newport Folkfest, the Philadelphia Folkfest, the Trans-Pecos Festival of Love in Marfa Texas, and Folk Holidays in the Czech Republic. She has performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk, TED Salon, WNYC’s Dolly Parton’s America Podcast and an official showcase at the 2022 Americana Fest in Nashville.

Nora performs solo but also as a duo with award winning fiddler Stephanie Coleman."

STEPHANIE COLEMAN

"Stephanie Coleman is a fiddler, banjo player, and singer based in Brooklyn, NY. As a child growing up in Chicago, Stephanie was first exposed to traditional music by her father, a fiddler himself. For more than two decades, she has immersed herself in Appalachian and Irish fiddle styles, exploring both the craft and the rich history behind the music. During college, Stephanie moved to Cork City, Ireland to study with master fiddler Connie O’Connell. She then spent several years touring the US, Europe, and Australia with pioneering string band Uncle Earl. She remains a regular award winner in the renowned contest at the Appalachian String Band Festival and has collaborated with Irish music luminaries Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill, Mick Moloney’s Green Fields of America, and the Murphy Beds (Jefferson Hamer and Eamon O’Leary). Most recently, Stephanie can be seen fiddling and singing in the latest season of HBO’s Crashing starring comedian Pete Holmes."
