The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training program, developed by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), is embraced worldwide as a highly effective behavior management system for organizations committed to providing quality care and services in a respectful, safe environment. The strategies taught in the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training provide participants with a proven framework for decision making and problem solving to prevent, de-escalate, and safely respond to disruptive or assaultive behavior by students. This training will provide instruction on personal safety techniques, but will not teach physical restraint techniques. This training will be held on Oct. 28, Nov. 18, and Dec. 7, from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at OSSE, 810 First St. NE Third Floor Grand Hall.
Please wear comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes, and bring water.
Audience: This training is intended for K-12 educators working in DC schools.
