Each year, Pacific Continental Bank presents a one-day Nonprofit Symposium designed to provide training and development opportunities for nonprofit board members and staff leadership. We strive to make the symposium a local, affordable resource for you and your team. In planning we identify top issues facing nonprofits and bring together a series of speakers, activities and conversations to help address those needs and give attendees a wealth of resources to bring back to their organizations.
You won’t want to miss this symposium! Learn more below and register* today!
This year we are thrilled to welcome Cliff Jones, senior consultant with Nonprofit Association of Oregon, to discuss how diversity, equity and inclusion can help you achieve your nonprofit mission, vision and values. Cliff will make a case for capacity building that looks at increasing awareness, taking action and creating more inclusive service delivery models.
After lunch we will have breakout sessions to dive deeper into additional opportunities and challenges around capacity building in the nonprofit field.
With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility: Aligning organizational values and aspirations with internal HR and management decisions. Speaker: Morgan Munro, Lane Community College
With Our Powers Combined: Using financial data across departments to boost your mission conversation and create efficiency. Speaker: Jessica Clark, FiscalWorks
A Hero Can Be Anyone: Building volunteer and staff capacity to support and grow your fundraising efforts. Speaker: Elena Fracchia, Pacific Continental Bank
The Wrap Up
We will close with an innovation panel of local and state-wide leaders who have approached capacity building needs in very different ways. We will hear about alternative work schedules, merging back-house functions, leveraging community resources and understanding how foundations can support you in this work!
Panelists: Emily Reiman (NEDCO), Sharon Wade Ellis (Meyer Memorial Trust), John Moriarty (School Garden Project of Lane County) and Jessica Clark (FiscalWorks).
Hosted by Elena Fracchia, Kristin Short, and Marc Steinbaugh of Pacific Continental Bank.
