NONPROFIT & SMALL BUSINESS TRAININGS: CONSENSUS DECISION-MAKING

In this interactive session, participants will be introduced to and practice the key principles of consensus decision-making used by groups seeking to generate widespread levels of participation and agreement:
- Learn basic principles and strategies of building consensus
- Discuss the relevance of consensus decision-making in organizations, and
- Engage in experiential learning activities related to consensus-building.
Representatives from San Diego County organizations offering services to high-risk/high-need populations are especially encouraged to attend.

Our Facilitator: Grace A. Bagunu, PhD is a higher education professional and leadership expert who currently serves as assistant dean of student affairs at UCSD’s Revelle College. She has worked with UCSD Extension to provide leadership development training to high school and college students as well as community organizations around the greater San Diego community. Grace has served on regional and national boards and committees through NASPA Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and co-authored two chapters in the NASPA monograph Beginning Your Journey. She also serves as a NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program mentor and currently chairs the NUFP program at UCSD. Grace earned her BA in psychology with a minor in family studies and her master’s in educational administration with an emphasis in higher education from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, and she completed her PhD in leadership studies at the University of San Diego.
